Welcome

Welcome Visitors!

We are always available to speak with visitors exploring the possibility of joining our congregation or those wishing to learn more about the Reformed Church in America. Please contact our pastors, Rev. Scott D. Brown revscottbrown@verizon.net, Rev. Chris Vande Bunte cvandebunte@verizon.net, or our Congregational Care Coordinator, Dianne O'Hara cnrc-care@verizon.net, to schedule your attendance at an upcoming information session or just to have an informal conversation. We hope you continue to explore our website as it may answer many of the questions you may have about our church.

Our Sunday Worship schedule for February 2012 is below.  We look forward to welcoming you to our church.  We  worship on Sundays at 9:15 a.m. and 11:00 a.m.

FEBRUARY 2012 Worship Schedule

  • Sunday, February 5th: Fifth Sunday after the Epiphany. We worship at 9:15 and 11:00 a.m. and share in the Sacrament of Communion at both services.  We continue the sermon series on the “I am” statements of Jesus as recorded in the Gospel of John. This week’s focus is on the declaration, “I am the way, the truth and the life.” The Senior Choir and Joyful Ringers will provide special worship music. Members of the youth groups will be receiving a donation of a dollar or a can of soup for Open Door – the food pantry in Freehold as part of the “Souper Bowl of Caring.”
  • Sunday, February 12th: Sixth Sunday after the Epiphany. The Alleluia Angels and Alleluia Jazz members share the gift of their talent at both the 9:15 and 11:00 a.m. services.  Elder Debi Jensen, a student at New Brunswick Seminary, will be preaching and members of consistory will serve as liturgists.
  • Sunday, February 19th. Seventh Sunday after the Epiphany. Concluding the sermon series from the book of John, we consider what Jesus meant when he said, “I am the true vine.”  The Senior Choir and Exultation Ringers provide musical leadership at both the 9:15 and 11:00 a.m. worship services.
  • Wednesday, February 22nd: Ash Wednesday, beginning the season of Lent, is a time to remember Christ’s journey to the cross, our mortality and our need for a Savior. This special evening worship service, at 7:30 p.m., will be held in our Sanctuary as we combine with the congregations from Old Brick (Marlboro) and Freehold Reformed Churches. A Lenten drama, “The Trials of Jess Goodnuff” will be presented, and a choir comprised of members from all three churches will offer an anthem. The imposition of ashes will be available to all who wish.
  • Sunday, February 26th: First Sunday in Lent. This morning our Jubilation! choir will lead worship at both services (9:15 and 11:00 a.m.) with the youth musical Are We There Yet? Through songs and skits, this musical explores the connection between knowing God’s love and being doers of the Great Commission. Our hope is that this musical will inspire all of us to be witnesses for Christ to every person we meet, and to press on toward the goal of becoming more like Christ.
